Psychological First Aid will be offered on Saturday, March 14th from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Dover Middle School, 16 Daley Drive in the Renaissance room. Psychological First Aid is an evidence-informed modular approach to help children, adolescents, adults, and families in the immediate aftermath of disaster and terrorism. Psychological First Aid is designed to reduce the initial distress caused by traumatic events and to foster short and long-term adaptive functioning and coping skills. Spring CERT/MRC Course will be offered in Farmington starting March 9th. The training is free and is required basic training for anyone wishing to be an active CERT or Northern Strafford County Medical Reserve Corps volunteer. All classes are Monday evenings 6-8 PM at the Goodwin Library, 422 Main St., Farmington NH unless otherwise noted. Light refreshments will be provided. Please register by contacting Katie Kemen at kkemen@nschsc.org or 603-335-0168 by Monday, March 2nd. Anyone needing First Aid or CPR may register for those sessions only.

SEARCH & RESCUE: Strafford County Citizen Corps will offer S&R training on Saturday, April 18th from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Farmington High School located at 1 Thayer Drive. Instructors will be Lt. James Goss of NH Fish and Game and Firt Lt. Blaine Cote of the NH Wing Civil Air Patrol. The S&R class will focus on line searching and compass training. The students will have two practice exercises outside, so please dress appropriately and bring a change of shoes to wear outside only. As always the training is free and luch will be provided.
