ServiceLink's Family Caregiver Lending Library, located at Parrott Ave. Place, in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, seeks individuals interested in disseminating information to family caregivers. Inviduals must be interested in the needs of those who provide care to loved ones, either aging, chronically ill or disabled. It's a great opportunity to interact with those dedicated folks who give so much of themselves for their loved ones. The lending library houses current books, videos, audio cassettes and periodicals dedicated to such issues as caregiving, alzheimers, stroke, long term care planning and other related topics.
Interested volunteers must complete a 3 hour ServiceLink training, that can be scheduled at their convenience.
