Fiesta Mexicana
| Last updated on April 16, 2008 |
The Fiesta Mexicana is a family of faith sharing our culture and traditions with the community.
Description:
Fiesta Mexicana is a ministry of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church which fosters community through the sharing of our rich history and the cultural gifts which has generously bestowed upon us. The Fiesta Mexicana has expanded since early times and we have a professional carnival, vendors, Latin entertainment and of course, mexican food. We are looking for volunteers that are enthusiastic and fun to help with all areas!
History:
Into our 75th year, Fiesta Mexicana has grown tremendously through the decades. Initial Fiestas were small events and parishioners and extended family were the only attendees. Food items were cooked from home and brought to the church grounds to sell. Entertainment was local with the emphasis on music and dance. Since that time, countless changes have occurred. We feel strongly about what our Fiesta has to offer!
