Mulvane Art Museum
The mission of the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University is to provide members of the Washburn community, Topeka residents and visitors to the capital district of Kansas an arena in which they can learn to think independently and critically about art, to appreciate art as a vehicle for communicating human values, and to value the diversity of human creativity.

Interested in meeting new people and spending time surrounded by art? Then the Mulvane Art Museum, located on the campus of Washburn University at 17th & Jewell is the place to be. The Mulvane Art Museum, one of the oldest museums west of the Mississippi, has wonderful exhibitions, numerous special events, and an exciting ArtLab, providing hands-on activities for people of all ages. The Mulvane is currently seeking friendly, out-going volunteers to assist as gallery attendants to meet and greet our visitors, inviting them to explore the current exhibitions. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to assist with special events. Morning and afternoon slot are available.
