Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on June 29, 2009 |
The Shawnee County District Attorney's office is currently looking for volunteers to assist victims and witnesses of crimes in the court process. Victims and witnesses often need someone to help them through the sometimes tedious process and volunteering just a few hours a week of your time could help those citizens tremendously when dealing with such a stressful event. This experience will also allow you to learn more about the judicial system. The need is high for volunteers in this area, and it is extremely rewarding! Volunteers will need to be over 18 years of age. Due to the confidential nature of information handled in the Victim/Witness Unit, it is necessary for potential volunteers to complete a law enforcement background check and go through a training session. This opportunity is sponsored by: Victim/Witness Unit
