The VAL Awards are unique as this recognition event is the only to honor volunteers throughout the entire community.  All agencies and organizations in the Greater Topeka area regardless of United Way affiliations are encouraged to nominate the volunteers which positively impact their organization. 
 
Nominees will be honored on Tuesday June 16, 2009 at the Volunteer Awards Luncheon (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) in the Washburn Room-Memorial Union at Washburn University.  Each nominee will receive a certificate of nomination.  Awards to a nominee in each category will also be distrubuted at this time.
