CASA Volunteer Training
RSS XML FeedBackground Active Apr 12, 2007 to Jun 21, 2007

CASA volunteers are needed to help youth that are in our court system because of abuse and/or neglect.  Involvement in the CASA program provides an opportunity for volunteers to have a significant impact on the quality of a child's life: enhance written and oral communication skills, strengthen collaboration skills, gain an understanding of the child welfare system, and increase awareness of child abuse and neglect.

Training classes will be held on

Thurs., June 7, 6-9 p.m.

Thurs., June 14, 6-10 p.m.

Saturday, June 16 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Thurs., June 21, 6-10 p.m.

Volunteers need to be present at each of the class times to complete training. Training will be held at the CASA office:  Downtown Ramada Inn.

All volunteers attending the training must have a completed application and have participated in a personal interview.  If you have already submitted an application form, please call for an interview appointment.

If you have not returned your application form, please do so right away or phone for a new packet.  If this training time doesn’t work for you, please pass this information on to someone who may be interested!  Our next training will be in fall ‘07.

Sponsored by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Shawnee County.
