2008 marks the 6th year for Topeka to host this premier sports event and managing an event with 6,000 athletes has been achieved largely with the extraordinary hospitality efforts put forth by Topeka and the surrounding area volunteers. Your enthusiasm and courtesy will provide a rewarding experience for all our visitors!
Volunteers are still needed as:

Gym Supervisor. 15-20 people are needed in an admin/coordinator type position.  They will check to be sure teams, coaches, referees, time keepers/scorers have arrived and are ready to go.  They will also be responsible for keeping everyone moving to the places they need to be so there are not a lot of delays in the action and they can keep on schedule.  They will work in shifts to be determined by the volunteer and Games staff.

Ticket Takers:  2-3 people per shift to work taking money and giving out tickets (weekend fee) or hand stamp (day fee) at three facilities.  Hours are Friday 7-18 from 4-10pm; Sat 7am – 9pm; Sun 7am- 7pm

Cycling event at Heartland Park Topeka. This event is Saturday 7/19 only from 9am – 1pm. They need 10-15 people for be course workers at intersections, giving out water, making sure cyclers are going in the right direction, and that general safety is being observed.
