Prep is for children to explore a wide variety of subjects and activities. The job of the advisor is to organize 5 or more children and their families and help them plan activities around their individual area of interest. Subjects may include animals, cooking, science, performing arts, nature, or crafts. The time commitment is decided by the families involved. Most clubs have an educational, recreational or community service meeting or trip twice a month. The 4-H office provides resources, training, ideas and information 4-H requires that each prospective advisor complete an application, give references and attend a two hour orientation at the convenience of the volunteer.
