Briteside Adult Day Centers, Inc.
The mission of the Briteside Adult Day Centers, Inc. is to provide social adult day care services to frail elderly citizens in need of socialization and/or supervision.
Description:
There are two sites, BritesideOne, located on Sand Hill Road, Flemington, NJ, and BritesideTwo, located in Lebanon Borough, NJ, both of which are warm, friendly places that help older adults maintain their vitality. Daily activities are offered to seniors designed to enhance cognitive abilities while encouraging independence and building self-esteem. Seniors build meaningful friendships, while participating in fun social and recreational activities, helping them to feel good physically and emotionally. These activities include games, discussion groups, arts & crafts, exercise, supervised cooking projects, visits from local performers, and occasional community outings. The Centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
History:
BritesideOne was founded in 1979 in an effort to provide a place for the frail elderly of Hunterdon County who need supervision during the day as well as to provide respite for families and caregivers. In 1999, a second location, BritesideTwo was opened to help meet the needs of residents of Northern Hunterdon County. What Fun!

This is a great place to volunteer. The volunteers have at least as much fun as the participants. I had the opportunity to talk with a small group about everything from sports to WWII to jobs and grandchildren. I look forward to many years of volunteering at Briteside.
