Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Assist with after-school opportunities for Elementary-aged youth. Volunteers are needed for various programs involving art and recreation primarily between the hours of 2:00 and 5:30. Volunteers are asked to volunteer at a consistent time at least once a week.

Volunteers must submit background checks and attend a 2 hour orientation.

From Interstate I-80: Take Dubuque St. South into Iowa City. Turn left onto Iowa Avenue. Drive a block and 1/2 and the youth center will be on your right (355 Iowa Avenue) located in the Tower Plaza Parking Ramp (same ramp that Zender's, Channel 4 & the Cottage are located in). To find the Teen Parent & Counseling Programs, continue on Iowa Avenue till you cross Gilbert Ave. UAY's main office is located at 410 Iowa Avenue in the Victorian house next door to the historical society.   Nearest Bus Stop: Old Capitol Mall, 5 minutes minute walk
