Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Iowa UNA has started experimenting with Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The Facebooker will work to ensure that the Iowa UNA has a presence on all three of these social media sites.

Responsibilities will include:
▫ Checking each site to view updates and articles posted by other volunteers
▫ Posting links to news articles relevant to the United Nations on Facebook with or without comments
▫ Tweeting about articles/international news stories
▫ Commenting on posts by friends and fans
▫ Helping along the transition from profile to fan page on Facebook
▫ Deleting any inappropriate and/or lewd posts on our pages
▫ Seeking out friends and fans with common goals/views on issues
▫ All material communicating with people outside of the Iowa UNA office must be reviewed by Iowa UNA staff beforehand
Experience with Facebook, Linked In and Twitter a major plus. Ability to develop and adhere to a consistent format a must.
