The City of Tukwila Volunteer Program is designed to promote the spirit of partnership that the City government encourages and enjoys with Tukwila citizens and local businesses.
Description:
The mission of the City of Tukwila Volunteer Program is to increase the interaction of City government with Tukwila citizens and local businesses for a twofold purpose. The first is to help the City enhance its existing service offerings and/or expand them through the use of volunteer expertise. The second is to bring the many diverse populations of the community together to achieve a stronger, more connected community.
History:
The City of Tukwila Volunteer Program was re-established in January 2007. The City of Tukwila Volunteer Program is managed by the Tukwila Parks & Recreation Department but serves all City departments. The Tukwila Volunteer Program office is located at the Tukwila Community Center.
