The Seafair Foundation Seeks to Support Greater Seattle Communities through Educational Opportunities, Youth Leadership, Volunteer Outreach, Cultural Celebration, and Environmental Programs

Description:
The Seafair Foundation was formed to direct Seafair’s community events, educational and environmental programs, as well as our volunteer recruitment. The Seafair Foundation is run in collaboration with the Seafair Festival, which has produced Seattle's summer celebration for 59 years.

Foundation programs include the High School Leadership Symposium and Ambassador Program, Scholarship Program for Women, Special People's Holiday Cruise and the Seafair Sanctioned Community Event Program.

History:
The Foundation is an outgrowth of Seafair, a 501c4 non-profit organization, and shares common officers and directors. The two entities will operate in a coordinated manner with respect to facilities, programs, employees and other activities. The Foundation's purpose is to increase funding opportunities for foundation programs to manage the charitable activities previously conducted by Seafair and to increase their measurable impact on the community.
