Greenwood Home is a not for profit organization that provides a home to 11 adults with developmental disabilities and is funded primarily by the State of Washington. The mission is to provide ongoing care to promote the highest level of functioning possible.
Description:
The home is staffed 24 hours/day 7 days/week with staff that are trained to meet the needs of the residents in a compassionate and caring manner.
History:
Greenwood home was started by family and friends of the residents in the late 1960's when the for profit company decided to get out of the boarding house business. For many of the residents, it has been their home for longer than Greenwood has been a separate entity.
