Evergreen City Ballet
We are the only professional ballet company and academy serving South King County and North Pierce County Our mission is to provide the highest quality performances for audiences in the Puget Sound region, while developing dancers and educating a diverse public and its youth in the art of dance.
Description:
Evergreen City Ballet is based in Renton. We present several fully-staged, costumed productions annually at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center and the Auburn Performing Arts Center. This includes the holiday classic "The Nutcracker," a Young Choreographers Showcase and several other programs. We have a 110 seat black box theatre which we use for our productions and also rent to other nonprofit arts groups. Our Academy serves almost 200 students of all ages annually.
History:
Evergreen City Ballet was founded in 1994 in Auburn. In January 2006 we moved to a large facility in downtown Renton with studios, a black box theatre, costume/scenery shop and administrative offices. In January 2008 Kevin Kaiser, former principal dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet, was appointed artistic director.
