Washington Flute Circle (WFC), a non profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and organizations in the Northwest interested in the Native American style flute and its music, culture and history.

Description:
Washington Flute Circle (WFC, is a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization, dedicated to supporting individuals and organizations in the Northwest interested in the Native American style flute and its music, culture and history. Washington Flute Circle (WFC) was formed to provide a resource for individuals and organizations that are interested in the Native American flute and wish to form flute circles, put on seminars or workshops, access individuals that create and/or sell flutes, find teachers or mentors of the flute and create a repository of information surrounding the flute and its music and history for future generations. In short it is an organization that wishes to celebrate the flute from the heart providing a path for healing in this world.
The Washington Flute Circle (WFC) is the founding organization for the annual event called Flute Quest.
Flute Quest brings together internationally acclaimed flutists, accomplished local musicians, those who want to learn to play, and persons who simply enjoy listening to the Native American flute.

History:
Around 2004 a group of people interested in the Native American Flute came together to form Washington Flute Circle which then became a Washington based Non profit Corporation in June of 2005. The principles for Washington Flute Circle were Brent Haines-President, Kent Bush-Secretary and Rodney Bolyen-Treasurer.
In April of 2007, Washington Flute Circle was granted their 501(c)(3) status as an educational non profit corporation. With this charter and through Flute Quest we are creating avenues for and of the celebration of the Native American Flute from the heart through our breath. Flute Quest is one of WFC's vehicles to bring groups and individuals together in the creation of music of and from the heart for all to enjoy. Flute Quest is sponsored by Washington Flute Circle, a 501 (c)3 Non Profit Organization.
