Ogaden American Community (OAC) is nonprofit community-based organization in Renton. Our mission is to provide culturally and linguistically relevant services to Renton community refugees and immigrants with a focus on the Somali community. We advocate and promote self-sufficiency through employment, education, and economic empowerment for the Renton Somali community and other immigrants. OAC strives to help Renton somali community with the integration of somali and other refugees, immigrants at large into a self-sufficient ,healthy and inclusive multiethnic society. Everyday, week, month and year OAC is working to improve Somali community conditions by helping their assimilation and acculturation process to the U.S. in order to successfully empower families to have more rewarding and satisfying new life in America while preserving and celebrating Somali culture and haritage.
