Japan Business Association of Seattle
The purposes of the organization was set to promote friendship and find common interests among the members to improve the educational environment for their children, as well as to promote good will and contribute to the local communities. Above all, it was emphasized that a Japanese school should be established to conduct solid education for the children of the members. A school where teaching should be carried out precisely in compliance with the Japanese curricula so when the transition back to the Japanese schools and educational environment would be a smooth transition.
History:
In 1960, this social party was officially established and was named “Shunju Club.” In 1971, the long awaited Seattle Japanese School was inaugurated under the management by the Shunju Club.In 2002, the organization changed its name to “Japan Business Association of Seattle(Shunju Club)” to more commonly express its nature of activities.
