Description:
The National Wildlife Federation's Western Natural Resource Center (WNRC) is based in Seattle and works on conservation issues throughout Washington, Oregon, California and Hawai'i. The office focuses on the conservation of threatened or endangered salmon and their habitats, global warming, the education of citizens on sustainable landscaping practices, and environmental leadership training among Seattle's teens.
History:
Founded in 1936 as a nationwide federation of conservation groups, NWF continues to be the country's leading grassroots conservation organization. We have over 174,000 members and supporters in the Northwest and over one million members nationwide.
