Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF)
SIFF’s mission is to create experiences that bring people together to discover extraordinary films from around the world. It is through the art of cinema that we foster a community that is more informed, aware, and alive.
History:
The Seattle International Film Festival began in 1976 at the Moore Theatre with a two-week, 18 film schedule. The Festival grew and prospered rapidly, expanding in 1985 to a new home, the Egyptian Theatre. 2008 marked the Festival's 34th year, with more than 450 screenings of 250 features and 100 shorts to audiences in 25 days.
