Position title: Board of Directors
Description: Be a part of a start-up nonprofit, which helps women stay clean and sober and strengthens family connections. Currently, the organization is fortunate to have multiple county contracts, private financing and an active fundraising board.

We are looking for candidates who have diverse experience/skills and a common desire to help women in recovery from chemical dependency. We are particularly interested in finding people who have a background in start-up businesses, human resource law, accounting, graphic design, fundraising, and public relations.
Type of board position: Board of Directors
The process for selecting or nominating members: The candidate will meet with our Board Chair to discuss our core business and how the candidate would like to get involved. If board membership or committee volunteering is appropriate, the candidate will meet with the management team and tour the facility.

The candidate will attend the next board meeting for an interview. The length of the process depends on when we are first contacted and the candidate's schedule.
The organization provides a formal orientation to new members: Yes
Additional information about this position: A person interested in becoming involved with New Traditions must be willing to challenge the status quo as we are dedicated to continually improving the work we do (board work and direct services).
