Position title: Board Connections Position- Community Representatives
Description: We are looking for 2 'community representative' members from Seattle that are interested in or familiar with the field of early childhood education including child development, education, health and nutrition, social services/low-income family issues, and immigration.
Type of board position: Advisory Board
The process for selecting or nominating members: Persons interested in becoming Policy Council members will have the opportunity to participate in a meet-and-greet with parents at a monthly meeting. At this time, parent members will be able to ask questions of the potential members about their experience and interest(s) in becoming a Policy Council member. The potential members are encouraged to talk about their interest in the Policy Council role and what their interests are outside of work, etc.

Additional information about this position: This governing body plays an instrumental role of leadership at the agency. There are many opportunities for members to work with the BOD and management in decision-making as well as to review agency policies and procedures, school curriculum, and social and health services provided to families. We hope that new members are interested in reviewing program information and providing input to staff about their work.
