Southwest Youth and Family Services is looking for skilled, committed community leaders from diverse backgrounds to join its board of directors. The SWYFS board is responsible for the strategic management and direction of the organization including policy decisions, monitoring the financial health of the organization, fundraising and program review and monitoring. Board terms are two years. |

| The process for selecting or nominating members: |
|
Prospective board members contact the Executive Director who will send a board nomination form to them. The board reviews the nomination form and approves further action. Then there is a preliminary meeting with a board or staff member to discuss agency programs and board responsibilities. If both are in agreement to continue the process, the prospective board member is asked to attend three board meetings. New board members will be appointed at the beginning of the third visit. |
