Volunteers will be responsible for facilitating rentals of our fleet of classic wooden boats. Volunteers will work under the Livery Manager, but will be largely responsible for rentals during their shift. Additionally, volunteers interact with the public on our docks, engaging museum-goers regarding our hands-on exhibit. Livery shifts include light boat maintenance. Volunteers may be asked to lead/mentor new livery volunteers, and will be asked to assist with summer training. Court-ordered community service volunteers are accepted.
Training for basic dock work (knots, how-to-rig various boats, etc). Continuing training in other aspects of museum operation. The minimum age for this opportunity is 18 years old. This opportunity is sponsored by: The Center for Wooden Boats
