Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The E. Fir location of the YWCA needs a front desk volunteer to manage the lobby of a transitional housing building. The volunteer would be the first contact for the residing clients. This position welcomes guests, sees to their needs, works closely with case managers, takes messages, supervises computer and phone usage, and gives out information. This location can lend itself to times of really busy, to hours of doing nothing. We currently have 3 shifts available on a daily basis, 9-12 12-3 3-6 Mon-Friday. We hope the volunteer commits themselves to one shift on a weekly rotation. Must be organized, able to handle many requests at once, not easily intimidated and able to enforce the rules.
