Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 20, 2009

826 Seattle has volunteer opportunities for adults with daytime availability. Our programs generally run between 9:30 AM and 6 PM, with some earlier programs in local schools.

Drop-in Tutoring: Mon-Thurs from 3:00-6:00 PM. Commitment: once a week three hours. All subjects needed.

Field Trips: Tues and Thurs from 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM. Help students from local schools work through a fast-paced and exciting writing exercise. Commitment: once a week for three hours.

In Schools: contact us for dates and times. You and other 826 Seattle volunteers go into the schools to help teachers and their students with writing projects.

Outreach: contact us for dates and times. Our storefront, The Greenwood Space Travel Supply Co. is our face in the community and an integral part of our programs. Love to talk to families? Want to be a pro on the topic of our programs? Then our retail/outreach position is for you.

For more information, click on the "I'm Interested" button and we will follow up with you. You will be contacted for an orientation.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age and have an enthusiasm for helping students. Special skills like high level math and science are helpful, but by no means required.
