Is “Precision” your middle name? Can you volunteer one half-day per week? People For Puget Sound has recently upgraded to a state-of-the-art information system and need your help to get our data transitioned into the new structure. This will involve uploading event contact information, feedback forms, evaluations and surveys. Your people skills will be a plus since you’ll be working shoulder to shoulder work People For Puget Sound professional staff. This is a broad position, with a scope that spans all of our teams: • Policy • Development • Science & Habitat • Education & Outreach We need your eagle eye and dancing fingers!
Accuracy & attention to detail is the key to this data entry position. We need you to be skilled in basic computer technology, with a keen interest in becoming proficient in a new database contact-management program. You will also be using standard office software, including Excel and Word. Availability: People For Puget Sound is seeking 3 data entry volunteers who are willing to make a 3 month commitment to work 4 hours per week. This position is open immediately. Benefits: This is an unpaid position. It is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in our new, web-based database program, information management, and behind-the-scenes work of our environmental nonprofit. We can provide educational credit where applicable, references for future employment, and reimbursement for approved expenses relating to the position.

If you're coming on I-5, you will want the Seneca or James street exit, then you'll want to head west/downhill to First Ave. If you came from James, head north/right on First Ave. If you came from Seneca, head south/left on First Ave. Parking is usually best found under the Alaskan Way Viaduct (99 on the map above), which is directly behind/west of our building. Our building is the Maritime Building, is light blue, and takes up the entire block between Marion and Madison. Come in the entrance with the planters on either side, go to the 5th floor and take a right out of the elevator. Keep making rights until you hit the end of the hallway and you'll see us.
