Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on September 28, 2009 |
Regular work parties happen the second Saturday of each month, from 10-12:30. We also have specially scheduled work parties. We remove invasive plants such as ivy and blackberry and plant native plants in the 50 acre park. The work is satisfying because you can see the impact of your work. It is a fun way to meet new people while enjoying the natural setting. It is invigorating. Even in the rain, we sometimes have trouble getting volunteers to quit working at the end of the work party. You will also have the opportunity to learn to identify some native plants and some invasive ones. It is physical activity though we can use volunteers of varying abilities. This opportunity is sponsored by: Friends Of Ravenna Ravine
We need volunteers who are free at these times
