School-Based Volunteer Working as a mentor or tutor Working to enhance education

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on November 2, 2009

Make a difference in the life of a student in need through the VIBES program. There are a number of ways to volunteer in the Bellevue schools: one-on-one mentor, one-on-one tutor, classroom volunteer, AVID academic coach, and college application specialist. Opportunities are available in all 27 schools across Bellevue, grades PreK-12. VIBES is a highly successful in-school volunteer program, serving students of all needs. Volunteers visit their students one hour per week during the school day. This is a school-year program that takes place September through June.

Placements are made based on your interests and the specific needs at our schools. Whether your passion is literacy, ESL, special education or just helping students, we have a place for you in the Bellevue schools.

This opportunity takes place during the school day during the academic year. For more information and a volunteer application, visit our website: www.bsd405.org/vibes.

Interested people must be able to volunteer at least one hour per week for the duration of the school year. Volunteers attend an orientation before working with students in Bellevue School District.
