Help a student boost their grades and their self esteem! VIBES (Volunteers in Bellevue's Education System) matches volunteers with students who need tutoring and academic support. VIBES tutors meet with their students one hour each week during the school day. Tutors help students better understand challenging concepts and prepare for tests. They also help students improve their work habits and study skills. Some tutors also become mentors for their students.
Volunteers specify which subject(s) they would like to tutor. They work in the school setting in partnership with staff. VIBES offers training in specific subjects as well as access to curriculum resources. VIBES tutors often say the best part about volunteering is witnessing the "aha moment," when a student figures out a difficult problem. Help a student achieve an "aha moment" by becoming a VIBES tutor.

Interested people must be able to volunteer at least one hour per week for the duration of the school year. Volunteers attend an orientation before working with students in Bellevue School District.  This opportunity is sponsored by: VIBES
