Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on June 16, 2009 |
Older home, showing wear, housing three gentlemen with disabilities needs colorful coat of fresh paint indoors. An easy days work for 6-10 volunteers that would have a dramatic impact to change someone's environment and quality of life for the positive. Supported living providers and the nonprofit housing providers we partner with are stretched desperately thin on resources. As such, it is only through the goodwill of kind hearted volunteers that we are able to undertake these seemingly small projects that can really brighten someone's day, week, month or even year for the better. For people with disabilities who have little or no family involvement, to see a group of people gathered to do something for their benefit can have a profound psychological impact, making them feel cared about and comforted in a way that their life experience has provided far too few times.
Lunch provided. No training required. This opportunity is sponsored by: Alpha Supported Living Services
We need volunteers who are free at these times
