Young Adult Shelter Volunteers Volunteer opportunity relating to Homelessness

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 2, 2009

ROOTS Young Adult Shelter serves homeless youth ages 18 to 25 seven nights a week, all year round. Guests are provided a safe place to sleep, shower, and the chance to meet and interact with adult volunteers who recognize them as members of our community. These volunteers, both evening volunteers (8-11pm) or morning (6:30-8:30am), are critical to our program.

During the summer months ROOTS is especially short-handed, so please consider giving your time, as little as once a month to as often as twice a week. Please click "I'm Interested" below if you are interested in helping out.

Volunteers must fill out the volunteer application, undergo a WASP background check and attend the volunteer orientation. Visit our website for more information.
