Teen Link Media Intern

Crisis Clinic’s Teen Link program is actively seeking dynamic, intelligent, open-minded, and articulate individuals to help recruit new volunteers and promote Teen Link and its services throughout the Greater Puget Sound area to ensure that the program continues to grow and serve as many teens as require Teen Link’s services.

POSITION TITLE: Media Intern

JOB SUMMARY: The Teen Link Media Intern is responsible for promoting Teen Link in various media throughout the Seattle area. This includes local and non-profit radio, television, print media, and especially various social networking internet sites (including a maintenance of the official Teen Link blog, MySpace page, and Facebook page). This job is very flexible and can shift foci depending on the intern’s personal interests and the needs of the program.

POSITION REPORTS TO: Youth Services Manager

*NOTE: This position is an unpaid volunteer internship

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

• Mature, outgoing individual with a good sense of humor
• Dependability and consistency required
• Excellent written and public speaking skills
• Familiarity with local (underage) events, opportunities, and organizations
• Familiarity with local media
• Comfort working independently as well as with a team
