The old, the incontinent, the blind, deaf and arthritic - finally find a forever home. The first dogs and cats to be euthanized at shelters are the old ones. They're dumped more often than you'd think: more than 2 million elderly dogs & cats are disposed of at shelters nationwide every year. Why? The justifications people use, such as: "We're retiring to travel and an RV is no place for a dog", to "We just got a new puppy and the old dog doesn't like him", "We're pregnant, and can't handle an animal", or simply animals being considered inconviences of deceased family members. Kitty City is always needing additional help! We just rescue 6 new cats this week and could use some extra help with loving on them! Along with spending time with the cats, we need help cleaning up after them. Kitty bowls washed, litter boxex cleaned, floors and bedding cleaned, etc. We also can use outside help at our adoption events!
We have a volunteer application online and an orienation / training. Other than that, as long as you are at least 16 years old and would enjoy helping cats! This opportunity is sponsored by: Pasado's Safe Haven
