Volunteers are needed to help recover fresh produce from Pike Place Market Vendors that would otherwise be thrown away. Vendors often have food that is perfectly edible, but not up to their sales standards. This recovery program helps stock the Downtown Food Bank with much needed free fresh produce, while simultaneously reducing waste. Mondays: 3:30-5pm Needs to be able in good physical condition and be able to lift 20 lbs. A friendly smile and good customer service a must. The Downtown Food Bank is located on the 5th floor of the Pike Market parking garage. Volunteers will need to enter by the back door located down the driveway of the parking lot just north of Heritage House. There is a regular door and a roll up door which should be open on volunteer days.
