Helping Link is a Vietnamese non-profit human services agency serving the Vietnamese community in King County. A volunteer tutor will be directly involved with helping youths ages 5-14 to further develop their academic skills, with a particular emphasis on English and Math, to enhance students' overall educational experiences. Classes will be held Tues-Thurs from 3PM to 6PM, starting September 28th and ending December 10th. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers with a commitment to working with youth. Volunteers with tutoring experience a plus! Must be comfortable communicating and working with kids from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Training to work with ESL students will be provided if needed. A commitment of two hours, once a week is required. Volunteers will be asked to submit to a Washington State Patrol background check.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Helping Link
