The Vietnamese Friendship Association is a non-profit organization that serves low income students in the South Seattle area. We run an after school tutoring program called “Educational Assistance for Student Empowerment” (EASE) for low income Vietnamese students throughout various Seattle Public Schools. EASE is separated into two levels, one of which is intended for 7th-12th graders. We are currently looking for volunteers, who will collaborate with staff to supervise, run workshops and provide academic assistance to about 30 students daily. Our program activities generally focus on art and music, sports and dance, leadership, and cultural competency. It runs Tuesday-Thursday, 2:30-5:30pm.
Dedication and energy are a must. Knowledge of Vietnamese and experience with youth are preferable but not mandatory. This opportunity is sponsored by: Vietnamese Friendship Association
