Food Bank Greeter Basic Needs

Guests to our food bank begin lining up bright and early, and we need someone who enjoys people and can work in an ethnically diverse environment to provide a friendly, engaging presence to those who are waiting in line. Hand out numbered tickets, answer questions, and as the winter months approach, provide hot coffee.

A commanding presence, good verbal skills, and be friendly/personable. The ideal candidate must be patient but firm, and able to diffuse arguments with a smile. Good mediating skills, fair-minded, and a strong, commanding voice when necessary. Nicely dressed and well groomed, as you will be representing St Vincent de Paul. Must be willing to commit to one 3 hour shift per week.
