EMP|SFM Taking Aim: Rock ‘n’ Roll Photographs Selected by Graham Nash interactive facilitator volunteers enhance museum visitors' experience by providing support within the exhibition. The exhibition showcases some of the most memorable photography in the history of popular music, as chosen by a legendary musician who is also renowned as a photographer, collector, and pioneer in digital imaging and printing. Volunteers welcome visitors to the exhibition and provide explanation on what information is available and how to use the various interactive components.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming guests
  • Explaining how to use the photography oriented exhibition interactives and where to pick up an exhibition audio guide
  • Managing crowds and lines
  • Answering general questions about the exhibition
  • Providing general museum information about EMP|SFM
  • Ensuring guests follow general EMP|SFM rules and that Taking Aim is clean and orderly
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Interactive Facilitator Requirements

    • Enjoy interacting with the general public and school groups
    • Outgoing and friendly
    • Passion for music and/or imaginative literature and film
    • Requires ability to stand for up to 3 hours

    Available Shifts – Exhibition Opens February 6, 2010 and closes late-April, 2010

    • 3 hour shifts (morning and afternoon)
    • Priority for shifts during All Access Nights (first Thursday of the month from 5 – 8 pm) and Family Day (third Saturday of the month from 11 am – 3 pm). Second priority dates are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.
