Goal of the Job: Help document and publicize what we do by photographing events, our construction sites, and various activities. Department: Resource Development > Special Events/Communications Time Required: •Hours: Variable; during events and on standard construction days (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) •Length of Commitment: Flexible •Positions Available: 2 •Position Availability: All year Description: Visit the two construction sites during building hours to photograph volunteers in action and progress on the building(s). Attend special events such as home dedications and fundraising events and take photos of participants. Transfer the photos to us for our use in our photo gallery and in marketing materials.
Skills Needed: •Training in photography is preferred, but we welcome hobby photographers •Access to photography equipment is preferred but we have basic cameras and software Training Provided: We will orient you to the Habitat for Humanity mission and how we achieve those goals. No training provided in photography. To Volunteer: Registering for volunteer photographer positions is now completely online. To access the sign-up system simply go to www.habitatekc.org, click on “Volunteer: Construction” at the left-hand side in the green box. Click on the “Sign Up” button for any “Issaquah Highlands Photographer” or “Koinonia Ridge Photographer” date(s) that work for you and you’ll be lead through the registration process and signed up for that workday.
