Pike Market Child Care and Preschool provides services to several families who earn low incomes and are struggling financially. Many of our families experience distress around the holidays with worries about not being able to provide a Holiday for their little ones. By Adopting a Family, donors receive family wish lists and purchase items for the family. Donors are not obligated to purchase every item on the list, however, it is sometimes helpful to inform us on your giving budget so that we can match you with an appropriately sized list. For example, groups and organizations often have more resources than individual donors.
Wrapping gifts is optional, but greatly appreciated. Tagging items is essential in making sure they are delivered to the right person. Donors drop gifts off here to our preschool by Wednesday, December 16. We have a convenient location to unload your sleigh on Western Avenue. Prior to dropping off, ensure that an elf contacts us so that we can greet you and provide a helping hand. We help parents arrange a time to pick up their gifts and give families your information to write thank you card (and sometimes photos). We also provide donors with in-kind receipts for tax purposes. If questions arise, we are happy to provide any assistance.
