Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on September 8, 2009 |
The Northwest Chamber Chorus is seeking interested volunteers to work as ushers at their season concert series of classical choral music. The concerts are on four different weekends in December, March and June each year. Volunteer ushers can work at one or more of the season concerts. Ushers and other box office volunteers take tickets, hand out programs, and help audience members find their seats before each performance (Festival Seating), and then seat themselves to enjoy the performance. They are under the direction of Executive Director Betsy Brockman, and a Concert Manager employed by the Chamber Chorus. All volunteers receive free admission and complimentary treats from the concession stand. Volunteers are asked to start work one hour before concert time (6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays). Youth volunteers are welcome. No training is required for volunteer ushers. This is a job for outgoing people with good interpersonal skills, and who enjoy classical choral music. The minimum age for this opportunity is 14 years and older. This opportunity is sponsored by: Northwest Chamber Chorus
