The library operates the Evergreen Radio Reading Service which allows access for the blind community to get current and up to date news and information. We offer 75 radio programs ranging from programs such as Rolling Stone, Seattle Times/PI, cooking, technology, to environmental issues. Volunteers work as newreaders or program narrators. Call regarding our upcoming new volunteer orientation to the library and an audition. There is an audition to make sure we have the right volunteers for the right job. We provide format training (how to read the news) and it some cases recording/computer training. This opportunity is sponsored by: Washington Talking Book & Braille Library
