Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Ensure that all visitors to the Museum have a positive and enjoyable experience. Greet and interact with guests and assist visitors. Requires a warm, professional public presence, great customer service skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Admissions Desk: Greet visitors to the Museum, check coats and belongings, collect admissions fees, manage cash register, help the Museum's phone desk to answer telephone calls, and assist Museum staff as needed for special projects.

Telephone/Information Desk: Manage a 7-line telephone system, answer questions from visitors about Museum programs and special events, provide security for Museum exhibits, and assist Museum staff as needed for special projects.

Volunteers must be comfortable talking with the public in person or on the phone. Volunteers will be trained with the Museum phone system, and provided reference materials to answer questions about the Museum and Museum activities. This volunteer opportunity is appropriate for young adults, adults and seniors.
