Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on November 19, 2009 |
Homeless women who use the Mary's Place day center contribute to their daytime home by doing cooking, housekeeping, and other work. Most of our staff members work directly with the women -- leading, teaching, encouraging, and providing resources. With only a part-time office manager, routine office work can pile up. We especially need help with data entry, thank-you notes to donors, and quarterly bulk mailings. Breaks and meals give volunteers a chance to interact with the homeless women if they so desire. Court-ordered community service volunteers are accepted. Youth volunteers are welcome. This is a service-learning opportunity. Orientation is provided on the first visit. Most of our volunteers are women and youth. We have some flexibility in the office, however, and could make special arrangements for men. The minimum age for this opportunity is 16 years and older. This opportunity is sponsored by: Church Of Mary Magdalene
We need volunteers who are free at these times
