Care to Shop Food Drive- Seattle RSVP Partner Organization Basic Needs

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 7, 2009

Care to Shop supports the Chicken Soup Brigade, the food program of Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Volunteers are needed to greet shoppers at partner store entrances and hand out fliers detailing non-perishable food needs. You will receive donations from shoppers exiting stores and place items in Care to Shop barrels, which are picked up by Lifelong staff at the end of each shift. Volunteers will greet and thank people who are interested in supporting the program. All ages are welcome (youth volunteers under the age of 16 must be chaperoned).
Care to Shop takes place on the first and second Saturdays of every month. Shifts are from 10:00am-12:30pm and 12:30pm-3:00pm. This can be considered a student service-learning opportunity.

Volunteers must complete a volunteer application online (see the link to our application below!), and an pre-shift orientation onsite at the store.
