The greenbelt is over 500 acres of forest located on the eastern edge of West Seattle. We always need volunteers to help pull invasive species, mulch, and plant native plants and conifers.

<description>&lt;b&gt;Saturday , May       15, 2010:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;hr&gt; Join the King Conservation District (KCD) and the Green Seattle Partnership to help restore habitat on Longfellow Creek in West Seattle.  Longfellow Creek is one of only four salmon streams in Seattle.  Come join our ongoing efforts to replace invasive ivy and blackberry with native trees and shrubs.

At any given work party you might find yourself raking, mulching, weeding, spreading gravel, turning compost, and certainly enjoying the quiet beauty of this naturalistic garden.
