Volunteer Tax Preparers Needed
Get involved in the country's largest anti-poverty effort. Join 450 volunteers helping low-income families in King County find their way through the tax-filing maze, to keep more of what they earned.
We need you!
By volunteering once per week during the 2009 tax season you can help us meet our goal of putting more than $15 million back into the pockets of low-income working families. Speakers of Chinese, Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese and Russian are especially needed. All volunteers receive free tax preparation training and are certified by the IRS, so no tax experience is necessary.

Volunteer To Read To Little Kids
More than half of all kindergartners in our state are entering school without the social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills they need to be successful. Research shows that those who start behind often stay behind. The good news is that reading with kids on a regular basis can make a real difference. That?s why we are inviting you to become a Volunteer Reader for United Way of King County.
