17TH ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE ~ MAY 9, 2009
RSS XML FeedBackground Active Apr 1, 2009 to May 10, 2009

On Saturday, May 9, 2009, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NACL) for Greater Concord, United Way of Merrimack County and Capital Region Food Program will hold the 16th annual food drive for individuals and families in our community who are less fortunate.
Nationally each year, more than 30 million children, men, and women suffer from hunger daily. Coordinators are continually striving for increased collections. This food drive is deliberately planned for a time of year when the shelves of Community food banks, pantries and shelters are at their barest. Locally the United Way of Merrimack County, Capital Region Food Program and the local Letter Carriers ensure that area food pantries and soup kitchens are fully stocked once again for the summer months. But we cannot accomplish our goals without your help and support. You play a crucial role in helping us stamp out hunger in our community.

Thank you for putting quality non-perishable food items by your mailbox on Saturday, May 9, 2009, and thank you for making our community a better place to live and work.
